What to Expect During Installation
The installer removes the necessary body panels, supports and marks the factory door position, replaces the original hinges with the VDI assemblies, manages wiring clearance, performs required non-visible clearance work, installs and adjusts the gas shocks, aligns the doors, and checks operation.
Although the kit mounts at factory hinge locations, installation can require non-visible trimming for hinge-arm clearance. Prior collision damage, prior door-kit installation, aftermarket body panels, widebody components, or other modifications can change the labor scope and must be disclosed before the appointment.
Prepare an Appropriate Work Location
The vehicle and work area must be accessible to the installer. VDI will confirm location requirements during scheduling. Provide accurate vehicle and address information and disclose gated access, parking restrictions, steep driveways, limited clearance, prior body repairs, or existing modifications before the appointment.
If mobile service is not available for your location, consider installation at VDI in Lake Elsinore or a qualified local installer.
