The red interior stands out against the blue body with the hardtop retracted and doors raised. Silver multi-spoke wheels, yellow brake calipers and a dark rear spoiler add to the finished car’s appearance.

Blue Exterior, Red Interior and Doors Up
The open cabin gives a clear view of Tony’s red seats and interior trim. With the doors raised, the color carries through the side profile while the silver wheels and yellow calipers remain visible below.

How the Corvette’s Vertical Doors Work
The original Corvette doors remain on the car. The factory hinges are replaced with a vehicle-specific VDI hinge system, allowing each door to open outward first and then raise vertically with gas-shock assistance.
On a correctly installed and adjusted system, the door can remain in its initial outward position for normal entry and exit. Raising the door is a separate movement. This traditional system is commonly called a Vertical Door Kit, Lambo Door Kit or Scissor Door Kit.
