Door Operation and Installation
The VDI system retains the original doors. Each door opens outward first and then raises vertically with gas-shock assistance. Correct hinge adjustment and clearance allow the door to follow its intended path.
C8 installation requires safe door support, fender removal, nonvisible clearance trimming, wiring checks and final alignment. Follow the instructions supplied with the kit and check latch engagement, surrounding panel gaps and the full range of movement before returning the car to service.
