Kyle's 2008 Honda Civic LX coupe brings together a KPMF Surge Green wrap, Kevmannz widebody styling, air suspension, and a genuine Vertical Doors, Inc. Vertical Door Conversion Kit. Known on Instagram as @bagged_coupe97, Kyle has carried the custom work from the exterior into the cabin, engine bay, and trunk.

The wide fenders and low stance give this Civic its profile. Raise the doors, and the graphic-covered jambs, custom upholstery, and bucket seats become part of the display.

Surge Green, Wide Fenders, and a Low Show Stance

Menace Rides wrapped the Civic in KPMF Surge Green, giving the Kevmannz widebody panels a bright, consistent finish. The exposed fasteners trace the wider arches, while the custom Kevmannz front splitter and duckbill spoiler finish the front and rear profiles. Kyle's exterior list also includes a V.I.S. carbon fiber hood and custom wiper cowl.

The side view shows how closely the wheels sit beneath the widened arches. Kyle lists WORK VS-XX wheels and an Air Lift ALP4 air management system in his build specifications. Lowglow underglow and custom RGB headlights and taillights add another layer to the car's show presentation.

Doors Up, Interior on Display

The vertical doors give a clear view of details that are easy to miss with the car closed. Purple, black, and white graphics continue around the door openings, contrasting with the green bodywork. Inside, Kyle's build list includes a full carbon fiber dash by AK Carbon, a carbon fiber steering wheel, NRG Prisma bucket seats, a harness bar, and custom upholstery on the door panels and armrest.

A rear seat delete, starlight headliner, starlight trunk treatment, and custom trunk setup extend the work through the rest of the coupe. In the rear photo, the open trunk reveals the audio enclosure while the illuminated taillights and raised doors frame the display.

Under the Hood and Beyond the Bodywork

Kyle's supplied parts list includes a K&N short ram intake, Weapon-R downpipe, and Yonaka cat-back exhaust system. He also lists K-Tuned rear camber arms and a full Password JDM engine-bay setup. These details round out a build whose custom work goes well beyond the wrap and widebody.

How the Civic Vertical Door Conversion Works

The VDCHC06082D system uses the Civic coupe's original doors with vehicle-specific hinge assemblies. Each door opens outward first, then lifts vertically with gas-shock assistance. This is the traditional vertical-door movement commonly called a Lambo door conversion.

Correct installation matters, especially around modified fenders. Door alignment, wiring clearance, hinge adjustment, and clearance around the surrounding bodywork all need attention. A widebody build should be reviewed with VDI before ordering so the team can discuss the actual fender and hinge-area modifications.

2006-2011 Honda Civic Coupe Fitment

Part number VDCHC06082D is listed for the 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011 Honda Civic two-door coupe. The four-door sedan uses a separate application. Confirm Si configurations, aftermarket bodywork, modified fenders, or previous repairs with VDI when fitment is uncertain.

Questions About Civic Lambo Doors

Does this kit replace the Civic's doors?

No. The system changes the hinges and opening movement while retaining the original doors.

Can I use this coupe kit on a four-door Civic?

No. Choose the separate sedan application. Match the kit to your Civic's year and body style before ordering.

Will it work with a widebody kit?

Contact VDI with details of your specific widebody and fender modifications. Kyle's finished build is not a blanket fitment guarantee for every aftermarket body kit.
