The original Corvette doors open outward first to provide clearance, then raise vertically with gas-shock assistance. The vehicle-specific hinges replace the factory hinge assemblies and mount at the factory hinge bolt locations.
Installation requires properly supporting the doors, removing the fenders for access, completing required non-visible trimming and checking wiring clearance. Final adjustment includes checking latch engagement, panel gaps and clearance throughout the opening and closing motion.
