This lime green Chevrolet Corvette C8 has a color combination that becomes especially noticeable with the door raised. The bright exterior surrounds a red-and-black cabin, while black wheels and red brake calipers carry the contrast down to the pavement.
The featured Corvette uses a Vertical Doors, Inc. VDCCHEVYCORC820 door conversion. The original door is retained, with a vehicle-specific hinge assembly allowing it to open outward before raising vertically.

The conversion changes the hinge movement while retaining the original Corvette doors. Each door opens outward first, then raises vertically with gas-shock assistance. Proper clearance and adjustment are part of the installation process.
The doors must be supported during installation. Fender removal, required non-visible trimming and wiring-clearance checks are also part of the work. The installer must verify latch engagement, panel gaps and the full opening and closing motion before use.
