Billy's Chevrolet Corvette C8 Z06 Customer Build
The raised original doors frame the Z06's wide body and aggressive factory styling. With the doors closed, the Corvette maintains a clean factory-style appearance. With the doors raised, the installation creates the vertical-door presentation Billy wanted.
How the Corvette C8 Vertical Door Kit Works
The traditional VDI system uses a two-stage movement. Open the door outward until it reaches the hinge system's designed stopping point. From there, raise it vertically. The included gas shock assists during the upward movement.
The door does not have to be raised every time someone enters or exits the Corvette. The initial outward opening provides room for normal entry and exit before the door is lifted.
