How Does the Camaro Vertical Door Kit Work?
The conversion replaces the factory hinge system while retaining the original Camaro doors.
Open the door outward until it reaches the hinge system's stopping point. From there, raise the door vertically. The included gas shock assists during the upward movement.
You do not have to raise the door every time you enter or exit the car. The initial outward movement provides room for entry and exit before the door is lifted.
Does Installation Require Modification?
Yes. This is a vehicle-specific bolt-on hinge conversion, but bolt-on does not mean modification-free.
