Red Bodywork, Dark Wheels and a Rear Wing
The front three-quarter view brings the dark multi-spoke wheels and raised doors into focus. From the rear, the wing follows the width of the car above the taillights. The original door shells remain part of the build, preserving their shape while the VDI hinge system changes their movement.
How the Corvette C8 Vertical Doors Work
The door opens outward to the hinge system’s stopping point before it is raised vertically. A gas shock assists the upward movement. On a properly installed Stingray system, the initial outward opening allows entry and exit without raising the door every time.
The kit replaces the factory hinges while retaining the original door shells. Installation includes fender removal, non-visible clearance trimming, wiring-clearance checks and final door alignment. Follow the instructions supplied with the exact kit, and use an experienced installer if this work is outside your mechanical experience.
