Sidney’s red Chevrolet Corvette C8 Z06 received a Vertical Doors, Inc. Vertical Door Conversion Kit installation at our Lake Elsinore, California facility in October 2025. Our team installed part number VDCCHEVYCORC823Z06, retaining the original doors and adding the traditional outward-then-upward movement.
The red interior carries the exterior color into the cabin. Silver-finished multi-spoke wheels, red brake calipers, dark side-intake trim and a rear spoiler complete the visible combination in the photos.

A Red Z06 at Our Lake Elsinore Facility
The low front view shows the Z06’s wide body, front openings and raised doors. From the rear quarter, the center exhaust outlets, rear spoiler and wheel design are easy to see.
The side views give a closer look at the red cabin and the original doors after the hinge conversion. The door shells remain part of the car; the vehicle-specific VDI system changes how they open.

How the Z06 Vertical Doors Work
The traditional VDI system uses two stages of movement. Open the door outward until it reaches the hinge system’s designed stopping point, then raise it vertically. The gas shock assists with the upward movement.
On a correctly installed and adjusted system, the initial outward opening can be used for normal entry and exit without lifting the door every time. This conversion is commonly called a Vertical Door Kit, Lambo Door Kit or Scissor Door Kit.

Sidney’s installation was completed by Vertical Doors, Inc. at our Lake Elsinore facility. A proper installation includes fender removal, non-visible trimming for hinge-arm clearance, wiring checks and careful adjustment of door alignment, stops and latches.
