What does getting in and out of a Chevrolet Corvette C8 look like after a vertical door conversion? In the featured video, the customer demonstrates entry and exit with his red C8 Stingray coupe, giving you a practical look at using the car beyond the doors-up photos.
This Corvette is a coupe with its removable roof panel off. A black center hood stripe, black wheels, red brake calipers and a rear wing give the build a consistent red-and-black appearance. Its Vertical Doors, Inc. VDCCHEVYCORC820 conversion retains the original Corvette doors.

Watch the Customer Get In and Out of the C8
The video focuses on a question Corvette owners ask when considering a conversion: how do you use the doorway once the vertical doors are installed? The customer demonstrates getting into and out of his C8, showing the interaction between the raised door, doorway and seating area.
This demonstration features the coupe with its removable roof panel off. It gives you a useful view of that specific setup and adds context to the exterior photos below.
Black Hood Stripe, Red Calipers and a Rear Wing
The front photos show the black stripe running down the center of the hood between the raised doors. Dark front intake openings and lower trim continue the contrast across the nose of the car.
From the side, the black wheels reveal red brake calipers, while the rear wing adds another dark detail above the rear bodywork. With the roof panel removed and the door raised, the side view also gives a clear look at the cabin opening and original interior door panel.

How the C8 Vertical Door Conversion Works
The conversion retains the original Corvette doors and replaces the factory hinges with vehicle-specific assemblies. Each door opens outward first to provide clearance, then raises vertically with gas-shock assistance.
The featured kit is VDCCHEVYCORC820. When choosing a kit for your own Corvette, confirm the model and any body, suspension or wheel modifications with our team. The installed kit shown in a customer feature should not replace a fitment check for a different vehicle setup.

Installation includes properly supporting the doors, removing the fenders for access, completing required non-visible trimming and checking wiring clearance. The installer must adjust the hinges and verify latch engagement, panel gaps and clearance throughout the full opening and closing motion.
Door operation is also part of the handoff. Before leaving the installation appointment, have the installer demonstrate the opening and closing sequence and answer your questions about using the doors from outside and inside the vehicle.
