Ford Super Duty Customer Installation Notes
Customers have told us they successfully installed VDCF15021 on fourth-generation (P558) and fifth-generation (P708) Ford Super Duty trucks. Vertical Doors, Inc. has not performed these Super Duty installations at our Lake Elsinore, California facility.
On 2017-2022 P558 trucks, customers report that the fender badge may need modification for the kit to work. Check the badge and surrounding panel clearance during installation.
These reports do not establish fitment for every model year, cab or configuration. Contact VDI with your truck's year, model and cab style before ordering.
Cab, trim and body modifications matter. A shared generation or platform does not confirm every configuration. Tell us about aftermarket fenders, modified vents or badges, widebody parts, previous collision repairs, replacement hinges or other changes around the front-door hinge area.

How the Vertical Door Conversion Works
Open the converted front door outward until it reaches the hinge system's designed stopping point, then raise it vertically. The gas shock assists with the upward movement. Lower the door before swinging it closed.
Proper adjustment is essential for consistent movement, door alignment, latch operation and clearance around the wiring, fenders, vents and badges.
Installation Requirements
Bolt-on does not mean modification-free. Installation requires access to the factory hinge area, front-fender removal, inner-fender clearance work, wiring modifications and careful door alignment. Follow the instructions supplied with VDCF15021 for the exact procedure.
