Vertical Doors, Inc. part VDCCHEVYCORC820 is engineered for the 2020-2026 Chevrolet Corvette C8 Stingray. The kit mounts at the factory hinge locations, retains the original doors, and does not use a universal weld-on hinge system.
This kit is designed for most factory-body 2020-2026 Corvette C8 Stingray models, including common 1LT, 2LT, 3LT, and Z51-equipped configurations.
Does not fit: The C8 Z06 or E-Ray. Those applications require the separate C8 Z06 and E-Ray Vertical Door Kit, part number VDCCHEVYCORC823Z06.

The conversion replaces the factory hinge system while keeping the original Corvette doors. Open the door outward approximately 12 to 18 inches until it reaches the hinge's predetermined stopping point, then lift the door vertically. The included gas shocks assist with the door's weight during the lifting motion.
At full lift, the lower rear portion of the door will normally sit above the roofline. Proper installation and adjustment are essential for smooth operation, correct panel clearance, and consistent door alignment.

Can the factory hinges be reinstalled? The original doors are retained, and the factory hinge system can be reinstalled. However, installation requires non-visible trimming for hinge-arm clearance. Contact VDI before ordering if restoring every modified area to its original condition is important to you.
