But there's another side to this project that makes it especially meaningful. Andrew has dedicated his Camry to the memory of his daughter, Deanna Contreras. Meet Andrew and His Carnage Camry 18
Spend some time around the modified car community and you'll meet enthusiasts who aren't afraid to tackle their own projects. Some specialize in paint and bodywork. Others focus on audio, lighting, electrical systems, or fabrication.
Andrew has experience in several of those areas. He works on custom installations, audio and video systems, lighting, and mechanical projects. His Camry brings those skills together in one personalized build.
It's not a car he built to represent a club. Andrew told us that Carnage Camry 18 is his own project, and that the most important reason behind it is his daughter.
That personal connection is what makes this feature special. We love seeing the creativity customers put into their vehicles, but we also appreciate getting to know the people behind the finished builds.
Toyota Camry Lambo Doors by Vertical Doors, Inc.
One of the defining modifications on Andrew's Camry is the Toyota Camry Vertical Door Conversion Kit by Vertical Doors, Inc.
The VDCTOYCAM18 kit converts the Camry's original front doors to operate vertically. Each converted door opens outward first and then raises upward, assisted by a gas shock.
The original Toyota door shells remain in place. The conversion changes the hinge movement, allowing the front doors to rise while the rear doors continue operating conventionally.
On Andrew's Camry, the result works especially well with the red metallic paint, black roof, and dark multi-spoke wheels. With both front doors raised, the car has a distinctive appearance from nearly every angle.

For Andrew, the vertical door conversion is part of a larger custom build. It complements the other modifications without taking attention away from the details he's put into the car.

Custom Paint, Bodywork, and Encore Wheels
Andrew's Camry features a custom red exterior with a contrasting black roof. The paint and bodywork were completed by West Coast Auto Body in Sanford, Florida.
The red finish shows off the Camry's body lines, particularly around the front fenders and raised doors. Black exterior accents, a rear spoiler, and the multi-spoke Encore wheels bring the overall design together.
The front bumper features a large dark grille and distinctive lighting. Combined with the vertical doors, the exterior reflects Andrew's personalized approach to the car.

Custom XKGlow Lighting Throughout the Build
Lighting is another major part of Andrew's customization work. He uses lighting products from XKGlow, one of the sponsors supporting Carnage Camry 18.
Andrew told us that he performs his own custom lighting installations. That gives him the opportunity to develop the car around his own ideas and experience.
His interest in automotive electronics also carries over into the interior, where he's installed a custom starlight headliner wrapped in black suede.
Sony ES, JL Audio, and Kenwood Custom Audio
Andrew's work doesn't stop with the exterior. He's also put significant effort into the Camry's audio system.
According to Andrew, his audio setup includes the following equipment:

- Dash Speakers: Kicker 3.5-inch coaxial speakers
- Subwoofer Amplifier: JL Audio RD1000/1

- Additional Amplifier: Four-channel Kenwood Excelon
Andrew handles the audio installation work himself. Between the speakers, amplifiers, wiring, and custom interior touches, he's invested considerable effort into building the system around his preferences.

Carnage Camry 18: Custom Artwork and Personality
Andrew has also developed a Carnage-inspired visual theme around the car. The artwork features his red Camry with vertical doors, dark wheels, and dramatic red-and-black graphics.
It's another example of Andrew making the project his own. Between the physical modifications and the custom artwork, Carnage Camry 18 has a recognizable personality.

More Than a Custom Camry: A Tribute to Deanna
Behind all the modifications is a story Andrew wanted to share with our team and the automotive community.
Andrew dedicated Carnage Camry 18 to his daughter, Deanna Contreras.
Andrew shared that Deanna tragically lost her life following a vehicle crash involving a driver who had been drinking. Her loss has had a profound impact on Andrew and his family.
Rather than letting the story of the car focus only on its appearance, Andrew is using this build as a personal tribute to Deanna and a way to keep her memory alive.
One especially meaningful part of the project is a custom illuminated memorial plaque featuring her portrait. The plaque is surrounded by colorful RGB lighting and carries a message from father to daughter:

Andrew told us that he plans to incorporate the illuminated plaque into a custom installation that also houses his line output converter. It's a thoughtful way to combine his audio and lighting experience with something deeply personal.
Cars can bring people together in ways that go beyond meets, events, and modifications. Behind every vehicle is someone with their own experiences and reasons for building it.
For Andrew, this Camry is about remembering Deanna.
