A Black Stingray with Red Details

The dark exterior and wheels keep the red calipers and cabin accents easy to spot. The side-intake trim and rear spoiler add detail to the profile without changing the focus of the build.

With the roof panel removed, the coupe’s fixed rear roof structure remains visible behind the seats. The side and rear-quarter photos show that body style along with the original doors in their raised position.

How the Stingray Vertical Doors Work

The conversion uses vehicle-specific replacement hinges while keeping the original Corvette door shells. Each door opens outward to the hinge system’s designed stopping point and can then be raised vertically with gas-shock assistance.

On a correctly installed and adjusted system, the initial outward opening can be used for normal entry and exit. The door does not have to be raised every time. This traditional conversion is commonly called a Vertical Door Kit, Lambo Door Kit or Scissor Door Kit.
