Our team installed part number VDCCHEVYCORC820, retaining the original Corvette doors and adding the traditional outward-then-upward movement.
The pale green body, silver split-spoke wheels and black interior give this Stingray a clean combination. A body-color rear spoiler carries the Cacti Green finish across the back, while the raised doors show the completed hinge conversion from several angles.

Cacti Green Stingray Coupe with Vertical Doors
The Cacti Green finish makes the Corvette’s body lines easy to follow in the side and rear-quarter photos. Silver wheels provide contrast, while the dark intake trim and black interior keep the rest of the combination simple.
The raised doors reveal the cabin through the original door openings. The conversion retains the factory door shells and replaces their hinges with the vehicle-specific Vertical Doors, Inc. system.

How the Vertical Doors Work
The converted Corvette door opens outward to the hinge system’s designed stopping point and can then be raised vertically. A gas shock assists with the upward movement.
On a correctly installed and adjusted system, the initial outward opening can be used for normal entry and exit without raising the door every time. This traditional conversion is commonly called a Vertical Door Kit, Lambo Door Kit or Scissor Door Kit.
Correct installation includes door alignment, hinge-stop adjustment, wiring clearance and latch checks. The kit mounts at factory hinge locations, but installation also requires fender removal and non-visible trimming for hinge clearance. Follow the vehicle-specific instructions supplied with the kit.
