This Chevrolet Corvette C8 feature brings together vertical door conversions and Z06-style widebody work by Vertical Doors, Inc. The original photo collection shows gray C8 builds from several angles, including doors-open and doors-closed views.

Planning both modifications requires attention to the finished vehicle configuration. For a Corvette C8 Stingray with a widebody kit, the current Vertical Doors, Inc. kit recommendation is VDCCHEVYCORC823Z06. Share your body, wheel and suspension details with our team before ordering.

Featured Corvette Work

  • Vehicle family: Chevrolet Corvette C8
  • Featured work: Vertical door conversions and Z06-style widebody conversion work
  • Shop: Vertical Doors, Inc.
  • Visible details: Gray bodywork, dark wheels and red brake calipers
  • Current kit recommendation for a widebody Stingray: VDCCHEVYCORC823Z06

Widebody Appearance and Door Movement

A Z06-style widebody conversion changes the body appearance of a Stingray; it does not change its factory trim designation. Correct kit selection should therefore account for the original model and the modifications installed on it.

The traditional vertical door conversion retains the original doors. Each door moves outward first, then raises vertically. Body clearance and alignment need to be checked with the actual widebody components in place.

Plan the Bodywork and Door Installation Together

Discuss the complete project before scheduling. The widebody components, wheels, suspension and existing door condition can affect preparation and clearance checks.

Vertical door installation requires safe door support, fender removal, nonvisible clearance trimming, wiring clearance and final alignment according to the supplied instructions. Check latch engagement, panel gaps and clearance through the full movement with the finished bodywork installed.

Installation Options

Contact Vertical Doors, Inc. about your project at our Lake Elsinore, California facility, or find a VDI installer near you. Ask the selected shop about its bodywork capabilities when planning both services. Independent shops set their own pricing and workmanship terms.
