How the Acura NSX Vertical Door Kit Works
The VDCANSX17 conversion retains the original Acura doors and replaces the factory hinge assemblies with a vehicle-specific Vertical Doors, Inc. system. Each door opens outward first and then raises vertically.
This conversion is commonly called a Vertical Door Kit, Vertical Lambo Door Kit, Lambo Door Kit or Scissor Door Kit. These terms refer to the traditional two-stage door movement used by this application.
Correct installation and adjustment are important for door alignment, latch operation, wiring clearance, surrounding-panel clearance and smooth opening and closing. The factory position of each door should be documented and marked before the original hinges are removed.
