How the Vertical Door Conversion Works
Each converted front door opens outward to the hinge system's designed stopping point, then lifts vertically. The gas shock assists with the upward movement. This is the traditional VDI vertical door motion, commonly called Lambo doors or scissor doors.
Installation and Vehicle Modifications
The bolt-on design describes how the hinges attach to the factory mounting points. Installation can still require concealed inner-fender trimming or clearance work, wiring clearance adjustments, and final door alignment. Correct adjustment matters for door movement, latch operation, weather sealing, and clearance around the surrounding panels.
